For your security: change all passwords regularly

In June 2011, blogging platform WordPress required that all users change their account passwords. This forced reset was instigated after the WordPress security team discovered suspicious activity on certain plug-ins (including AddThis, WPtouch and W3 Total Cache).

For increased security, Aryup recommends users change ALL passwords regularly (every month or two). This simple action can greatly reduce your risk of hacker attack. Below are some hints for ensuring strong passwords, for the protection of you and your files.

  1. Use a different password for all applications
  2. Do not reset your password back to an old one
  3. Do not use dictionary-level words for passwords
  4. Create a strong password: use a combination of upper and lower-case letters and numbers
